Come and join the fun at the Banksia Lodge Fete Friday Oct 20th 10 -2

Banksia Lodge in Broulee will be holding its annual fete on Friday 20 October, and everyone is welcome!

The fete is a free, family friendly event, and is one of Banksia’s main fundraisers during the year, with items donated for sale or raffle by residents, their families, and businesses and others from the local community. Banksia residents play a key role in coordinating and running the fete, with support from staff and volunteers.

Donations for the fete are piling in, thanks to the generosity of Banksia residents, volunteers and local businesses. Goods for sale on the day include hand knitted and crocheted items, cakes, jams, plants, and arts and crafts including a beautiful range of wares by Banksia’s Men’s Shed.

All proceeds from the fete are used for programs and activities to support Banksia Lodge residents. “As a charitable organisation, we really appreciate the support of our local community,” says Leanne Turner, Director of Care at Banksia Lodge. “Their generous goodwill makes a very real contribution to the enjoyment and wellbeing of our residents.”

The fete is also a great opportunity for visitors to see Banksia’s facilities and talk to staff about the range of retirement living, residential and respite aged care, and home based aged care services that Banksia offers.
