The Batemans Bay Business and Tourism Chamber has been very busy again over the past 12 months and continues to be an active advocate for business, the community and growth in our area. Over the next few months the chamber will be developing their Strategic Action Plan for 2018, and will be conducting a number of community village meetings in November throughout the greater Batemans Bay area to discuss local issues and ideas. Chamber President David Maclachlan will be hosting these community meetings and will be providing an overview of the various projects and activities that the chamber has been involved in during 2017. "The chamber has been very active this year and we have a lot of passionate members who all want to see our town not only grow and prosper for the future, but also to provide something better for the community now. Some of the things we have been involved in this year are extending our events which included Sculpture on Clyde, The Bay Paddle Challenge, Seaside Carnivale and the Business Awards. We have been heavily involved presenting infrastructure options to council for Mackay Park, and we have submitted a number of proposals for or assisted Tourism, Business, Arts, Events and other coastal interface infrastructure." "Last year our village meetings formed the basis for our 2017 Strategic Plan and we would like to get as much input from the community to what they would like the chamber to be delivering next year. So I would encourage people to come to these meetings and have a voice in what is being done." The Chamber Community Village Meetings will run from Monday 6th November until Monday the 13th November 2017 at locations within the greater Batemans Bay area.
