Water restrictions averted, for now

Monday’s soaking rain has averted water restrictions in the Eurobodalla, at least for now.

Rivers are flowing again and Eurobodalla Council reports it has resumed pumping water from the rivers to refill Deep Creek Dam.

Any immediate move to water restrictions has been averted.

Permanent water conservation measures remain in place and Council asks residents to continue watching their water usage as summer approaches.

This can be done by watering gardens and lawns early in the morning or in the evening, by washing cars and boats on grass areas using a bucket, and not hosing hard surfaces like driveways or paths unless absolutely necessary.

Council’s website has more information about permanent water conservation measures HERE
