Narooma Boats Afloat is a weekend of fun for all those who love old boats when Narooma comes alive with good camaraderie and a display of wonderful boats. In spring every year since 2006 a weekend festival is held on and around the pristine waters and colourful boatsheds of Wagonga Inlet
For the participants there is a Friday welcome bbq, a Saturday cruise, then a jazz band and a stickybeak session for Saturday afternoon... an awesomely delicious Saturday night dinner and an incredible auction... and then hundreds of onlookers turned out to watch the "Grand Parade" along Narooma's pristine Wagonga Inlet under the bridge and along the Boardwalk that sees the weekend finish with a fantastic farewell bbq and a diehards' cruise... The Narooma Traditional 'Boats Afloat' Festival is all about enjoying hand built or restored boats and sharing experiences with boating enthusiasts from all over the place. The festival features a Parade of Boats. For those with boats it is a time for meeting like minded people interspersed with cruising around the pristine waters, social gatherings, barbecues and a presentation dinner.
