Federal Member for Gilmore, Ann Sudmalis welcomed the new technology, now giving better services to at least 178 homes and businesses.
“Moruya, Tuross Head, Bergalia, Bingie and Coila now have new fixed wireless technology,” she said.
“In Gilmore the total NBN rollout is now over 70% complete.
“Residents and businesses need to contact their phone companies and place an order to move their landline and internet services over to the NBN network.”
The regional roll out of the NBN is already more than two-thirds finished, with the fixed wireless network expected to be largely complete by the end of 2018.
“Around 200,000 homes and businesses in regional and rural Australia are already connected to the popular fixed wireless network comprising of 1700 fixed wireless towers around the nation.
“Customers love fixed wireless and it’s easy to see why. I aim to help build the kinds of communities our children and grandchildren either want to stay in or come back to, and quality broadband is an important part of that,” said Mrs Sudmalis.
