Christmas comes early for Gilmore community - Eurobodalla Shire Council
Ann Sudmalis MP this afternoon announced the delivery of $9.5 million in Community Development Grants to various organisations throughout the region. The Federal Member Gilmore was thrilled to be able to reallocate the funding originally intended for the Yerriyong Motorsports Complex. “This is a wonderful result for the community, I promised the money would be re-invested into equally important projects and it has,” she said. “The delivery was the result of robust discussions with the Minister for Regional Development, Darren Chester MP and prior to that with Senator Fiona Nash who had responsibility initially. “My number one priority is the wellbeing of our many communities across Gilmore, and these latest investments will make a difference.” One of seven organisations to receive funding was the Eurobodalla Shire Council, granted $671,000 for the development of Corrigans Reserve Inclusive Playground – Stage two. “Thanks to Charles Stuart for his amazing work on this project and I congratulate Warren Sharpe, Director Infrastructure Services and Mayor Liz Innes at the Eurobodalla Shire Council, I look forward to the upcoming project works and I wish them all the very best,” said Mrs Sudmalis. The Coalition Government is committed to supporting Gilmore’s communities, and working with its people to make sure there is a brighter, stronger future.
