On Exhibition - amendments to Eurobodalla Local Environmental Plan


PLANNING PROPOSAL EXHIBITION – AMENDMENTS TO ELEP 2012

FOR FLOOD MAPPING AND RELATED MATTERS

Pursuant to Section 57 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act

1979, notice is hereby given of the public exhibition of a planning proposal

to amend Eurobodalla Local Environmental Plan 2012 to include mapping to

identify the flood planning area for Moruya, Narooma, Dalmeny, Tomakin,

Broulee, Mogo and Mossy Point; amend Clause 6.5 - Flood Planning; -rezone certain E2 land to an appropriate zone within the mapped flood planning

area; -make consequential amendments to the minimum lot size and building

height maps for certain land and; -amend the wetlands, riparian lands and watercourses map in relation to certain land at Moruya Heads.

The flood-prone land has been identified in the adopted Moruya River Floodplain Management Plan 2004, Wagonga Inlet, Kianga and Dalmeny Flood Study 2016 and the Broulee, Tomakin, Mossy Point and Mogo Flood Study 2017.

The intended outcome of this planning proposal is to include mapping from recently adopted and updated flood studies that refl ect the existing flood risk and the potential future impacts from climate change.

The planning proposal will be on exhibition from Wednesday, 6 December 2017 to Friday, 2 February 2018.

During this time, full details of the planning proposal will be available at Council’s Moruya customer service centre, Narooma, Moruya and Batemans Bay libraries and online at Council’s website, www.esc.nsw.gov.au/publicexhibition.|

The Minister for Planning has issued an authorisation for Council to exercise delegation to make this plan.

Submissions must be received by Council by

4.30pm on Friday, 2 February 2018.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand.
