Eurobodalla Shire Council will begin spraying 520km of urban and rural roadsides shire-wide, and on the Kings Highway, from Monday 11 December to control the growth of woody weeds, shrubs and trees.
The spraying will reduce hazards caused by tree and shrub growth and help protect road pavements from tree root damage.
Metsulfuron (Brush-Off) and Glyphosate (Roundup) will be the two chemicals used to control the weeds.
Motorists are asked to take care around the slow-moving spraying vehicles.
The spraying is expected to take about two weeks and to be finished by Friday 22 December 2017, weather permitting.
