With the weather threatening showers during the morning, a smaller than usual field of 48 players registered for the final Vets game before Christmas, a Single Stableford event. Fortunately the rain held off for the game duration. Results on the day were as follows:
1st: Greg Smith with a fine 23 points, on count back.
2nd: Allen Gannon, also on 23.
3rd: Paul Green with 21 points on count back.
Ball or Chocolate:
Mike Birks and Gus Alameddine on 21, Noel Fletcher on 20, Greg Thornton and Andrew Gordon on 19, Alan McLeod and Derek Hoare on 18, and finally Les Johanson, Annette Manton, Henry Anderson and Sandra Hanlon all with 17 points.
Bradman Award:
Having been part of a winning team last week and subject to the handicapper's chop, Don Russell took out the award this week.
