Council has advised they have closed the main entrance to Tomakin Beach, Kingston Parade, due to unsafe access to the beach.
Council had moved sand to the bottom of the steps but unfortunately the sand has washed away again, Council is looking at a more permanent fix to the issue, but in the meantime this beach access is officially closed.
Visitors have been seen going through the side wired fence onto the vegetation to access the pathway. As a result, recently planted native vegetation by hard working Tomakin Coastcare volunteers has been walked over. Please respect this newly planted area and access Tomakin Beach through other open pathways.
