A 1971 road trip to the Coast

A bit of summer fun, especially for those who journey to the South Coast from Sydney.

Alan Bond published a home movie to YouTube back in Feb 7, 2012.

Filmed with a Bolex 8mm film camera long before DashCams the road trip takes you from Revesby to Burrill Lake in 1971 via the Shoalhaven Heads Rd via Gerringong bypassing Berry.

With 65,264 views Alan writes "Glad you're all enjoying this little film of mine. Has proven to be very popular, thanks people of the world!!"

Thanks for sharing this classic footage with the world Alan.

Alan has a collection of movie programs that he has kept since a kid of the long gone movie theatre, BURRILL LAKE OPEN-AIR THEATRE, opened in 1946......demolished in 2000... but lives on in cyberspace on the internet at his Blog site and is a MUST SEE of how life was in a time gone by.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
