River of Art seeks expressions of interest from artists, performers and community groups to become part of the 2018 festival.
We’re calling out to local and visiting artists across all art forms. The River of Art team is especially interested in providing a springboard for early career artists, Indigenous artists and young performers.
Applications close soon on 7 February 2018. Visit our website for more information and apply online.
River of Art looks to showcase the diverse talents of our local artists, creators and performers. This vibrant South Coast festival provides a unique platform to reach out and connect with new audiences and opportunities.
There are many ways to become involved.
River of Art is keen to collaborate and partner with local arts groups, community organisations and businesses interested in hosting an event as part of the festival program.
Individual artists can also join up for festival favourites - Open Studios or Art on Parade.
Open Studios – presented each year in partnership with the Eurobodalla Shire Council – invites visitors to go behind the scenes and discover working studios across the region.
Art on Parade features artists exhibiting their work in local businesses, shopfronts and cafes.
Now approaching its thirteenth year, the festival format continues to grow and evolve.
In 2018, River of Art will present an exciting four-day program from 17 to 20 May featuring visual arts, music, theatre, performance, poetry, storytelling and cultural celebrations.
Many exhibitions, galleries, studios and workshops promoted as part of the festival program will continue to be open to the public through following weeks.
The festival is recognised as a major tourism drawcard and flagship regional event. It attracts growing audiences and visitor interest, and has won three South Coast Regional Tourism awards.
River of Art is proudly supported by Destination NSW, the Eurobodalla Shire Council, regional Chambers of Commerce and local businesses.
Artists will have other opportunities to participate. Later in 2018, applications will open for the prestigious River of Art 2018 Art Prize and for a new curated exhibition celebrating River of Art’s theme: Land of Many Waters.
The program for the 2018 festival will be released in March.
