Matt Ryan has advised that the Batemans Bay Rugby and Amateur Sports Club are very pleased today to announce that they have officially appointed Jim Roberts and Andrew Fleming as co-coaches for the 2018 season.
Mat Ryan told The Beagle "Although the process has taken longer than we had anticipated, we are very pleased with the outcome and with the potential that these two have to bring to the First Grade team."
"Both are highly respected Club Members, as committee members over the years as well as with the playing group with over 150 club games each, many years of representative honours, and the assistance that they have provided me as club coach over the years. They are also well known and respected community members in addition."
"Prior to the appointment, the players have organised some light training. "‘Official’ training will start on the 6th February which gives the coaches time to prepare their programs and structures etc for the year ahead. "Recrutiment continues, and any new names to town or potential recruits send them through.
" And congratulations to both men, bring on the season ahead!!"
