U3A Batemans Bay has been providing courses and social activities for the over 50s in the Eurobodalla Shire for the past 20 years. It is a unique organization in that every person involved ― including the committee and tutors ― is a volunteer.
Most members and course venues are concentrated around the Bay area. U3A Batemans Bay is very keen to include more members from the Moruya-Bodalla area and to have course venues in that part of the shire. This year an exciting series of talks about popular science subjects will be held at Moruya Golf Club. Throughout the year a course Italian for beginners is also scheduled at Moruya Golf Club as is a course International Economics in the second semester. With increased demand other courses could also be scheduled in Moruya.

To assist members and anyone interested in the Moruya area to join U3A, you can register on Wednesday 31 January 12.30- 2.30 at Moruya Library
The annual membership fee (currently $40), entitles participants to be involved in as many different courses as desired.
There are more than 60 different activities offered in the first semester, held at a variety of venues throughout the shire. Activities enjoyed by U3A participants are classified under the broad headings of History and Culture; Science; Literary Activities; Languages; Arts and Crafts; Recreational Activities; Physical Activities; and General Interest. Details can be found at http://bbay.u3anet.org.au or in the printed program which will be available at registration day
If you have a particular skill or knowledge which you would like to share with others or if you would like to establish a local discussion group, such a book group, a wine appreciation group or on any topic of interest, please contact one of the course coordinators: Dianne Grigson: Coordinator1@bbay.u3anet.org.au or Chris Sweeney: Coordinator2@bbay.u3anet.org.au
