Graeme Bell wins Tuross Head par competition


Tuross Head Country Club men's golf competition held on Saturday was a par event played in bright sunny conditions with golfers enjoying the benefit of a slight ocean breeze.

Graeme Bell emerged as the winner with a score of plus 4 with Stephen Walker filling second placing on a countback.

Bruce Cleeve returned a card of plus 3, followed by Ian Manton and Peter Mostyn, both finishing on plus 2.

Nearest the pin winners were:

A grade player Adam Husband was closest on the 4th hole with 1.06 m.

Leigh Coloe was best on the 6th with 3.18 m and

George Studham won the 7th with 4.16 m.

B grade golfer Bruce Cleeve was best on the 4th hole with 7.51 m.and

Steve Swanbury was awarded the 6th with 9.99 m.

C grade results saw Graeme Sindel win the 4th with 6.58 m and

Ross Hendy the 6th hole with 3.05 m.

The coming Saturday competiton is a 2 ball best ball stableford round.

Thursday's medal stableford competition was won by Lachlan Nordsvan with 38 points,

ahead of Ian Manton, Michael Nordsvan and Bruce Lidbury, who all finished with 37 points.,
