Strong southerly winds and cooler conditions tested the 78-strong field in this evening’s event. School is back and most of the visitors have gone home and many locals have returned from holidays with the need to work on their fitness. Michael Moore from Canberra was welcomed to his first run.
Personal best time were hard to achieve under the conditions. Nevertheless, Elani Van Der Meulen, Tony Ireson and Bruce Woodland improved in the 2 kilometres. In the 5 kilometres Alan Andrews, Julie De Ernsted and Kathryn Jeffrey registered personal best times.
30 run shirts were awarded to Charley Proksch, Alba Van Der Meulen, David West and Susan Pettitt (all pictured). This is an example of the wide attraction of the event as both Charley and Alba are still of pre-school age and David and Susan are mature adults.
