Eurobodalla represented in the Australian Teams Carnival on the Gold Coast

A team of ladies, mainly form the Eurobodalla area, were selected to represent NSW in the Australian Teams Carnival on the Gold Coast in January. This event is held annually in a different state each year, there were in excess of 600 players both men and women from all over Australia and a number of other countries competing e.g. New Zealand, Japan, Italy, France, Poland and the USA.

Our ladies team comprising Elaine Anderson (Broulee), Michelle Blackburn (Bingi), Anne Sawtell (Turlinjah), Enid Besant-Ryan (Tuross Head) Captain, Beth Baines (Gunning) and Kerrie Hogan (Goulburn) finished the week in the middle of their section with some great tennis played by all.

This group of ladies play socially in Tuross Head a couple of times a week as well as competing in the Eurobodalla Ladies Mid Week Competition commencing early February. Tennis is a great sport for all ages and all levels of ability and we encourage as many people as possible to get out there and have a go.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
