Info kiosks for Batemans Bay Arts, Aquatic and Leisure Centre
Eurobodalla Council is hosting information kiosks in Batemans Bay on Saturday and Monday to answer questions and provide information about the proposed Batemans Bay Regional Aquatic, Arts and Leisure Centre.
The kiosks will be held:
Saturday 10 February 9am to 12pm, Village Centre (in the aisle at top of escalators)
Monday 12 February 12pm to 3pm, Village Centre (in the aisle at top of escalators)
Monday 12 February 3.30pm to 6pm, laneway between Perry Street and Orient Street
Mayor Liz Innes said the information kiosks are part of Council’s ongoing commitment to keep the community informed about the project.
“Later this month, Council will advertise an Expression of Interest as the start of a two-stage process to find an architect to design the centre.
“While we haven’t secured funding yet, it is important to keep the project moving ahead so that when we hear we’ve been successful with our funding applications we can be ready to start work as quickly as possible.
“The design principles developed for the first stage of the design tender process require architects to address future expansion opportunities,” she added.
Council is also currently in discussions with the NSW Roads and Maritime Service regarding the possible leasing of the old bowling club land as a site office and equipment storage area for the construction of the new Batemans Bay bridge.
