The February meeting of the Batemans Bay Evening View Club was the Annual General Meeting with a new committee elected for 2018. Julie Teer was sworn in as president with Loretta Thornton supporting her as Vice President. Other office bearers are Anita Barnes (Secretary), Coral Pryor (Assistant Secretary), Nancy Carter (Treasurer), Leslie Handley (Assistant Treasurer), Noreen Bain (Delegate), Jenny McCaskill and Kathy Usher (Program Officers), Helen Buckley (Welfare Officer) and Annette Hazell (Publicity Officer).
After the formal part of the meeting a delicious two-course meal was enjoyed by all. After the meal we celebrated the birthdays of members having a birthday in January and February. This meeting one member, June Brooks celebrated her 90th birthday. What a great milestone to reach. June was presented with a bouquet of flowers from President Julie. Other members celebrating birthdays were Maryanne Bowen, Loretta Thornton and Annette Hazell.
The next meeting of the Batemans Bay Evening View Club will be held on Wednesday 14 March 2018 at the Catalina Country Club at 6.00 pm for 6.30 pm with a two course meal at a cost of $28.00. Visitors and guests are always welcome to come and join everyone and enjoy an evening with women from all walks of life and listening to a great guest speaker. Please come and support the View Club as we raise funds for The Smith Family Learning for Life Progam. Batemans Bay Evening View Club. View stands for Vision, Interests, Education of Women. We support 2 students in the Learning for Life Program with the Smith Family and contribute to support the zone student. We also raise extra money for other Learning for Life Projects.
