Taneisha Roberts,Lilly Bennett and Colby Heron played this weekend for the Illawarra Steelers in the Tarsha Gale Rugby League comp.
It’s only one year old, but if the first year of the Tarsha Gale Cup under-18 girls junior representative competition was anything to go by, the future looks incredibly bright and this year has seen it rise several notches already. Played in a nine-a-side format and alongside existing junior representative competitions the Tarsha Gale Cup provides a competitive pathway for emerging female stars. The Illawarra Steelers beat Sydney Roosters in the under 18 women’s 76-24 making it their third straight win.
