Long Term Tuross Vet Returning from Layoff wins out in Par Event


Despite recent rains and the course having been closed the day beforehand, a good field of 57 players teed off for this morning's Par event. Results on the day were as follows:

1st: Gerry Magill with a fine +4.

2nd: Kaye Lunt on +3 on count back.

3rd: Derek Hoare also on +3.

Ball or Chocolate:

Neal Watson and Terry Lunn on +2, Michael Kermode on +1, and Stephen Crossling, Greg Ware, Greg Smith, Steve Swanbury, Peter Dugan, Kevin Dukes, Barry Hoban, Ian Wratten, Gail Rogers and Ian Miller all on square.

Bradman Award:

After what looked to have been a close tussle, Ann Challender came out winner of this week's award.

Nearest the Pins:

4th: Stephen Crossling (in the hole).

6th: Ian Miller.

Ladies 7th: Chris Wratten.

Men's 7th: Les Johanson.

Accuracy:

A second time visitor, Terry Gilchrist, mastered the slope of our course and managed to put a fine drive alongside the string line to win the Accuracy award this week.

Next Week:

There will be a slight change to the advertised game for next week which will now be a Single Stableford event with registration in the downstairs sports bar area from 7.45am and a shotgun start at 8.30am.
