Creative Writing workshops in Narooma


Creative lifewriting with Dr Rae Luckie:

Where: Narooma School of Arts, 92 Campbell Street, Narooma, 2546.

When: Friday 6 April 2018 to Friday 27 April 2018, 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Cost: $108 for four weeks or $27 per session (includes morning tea).

Are you interested in creative life writing? Then this course may be for you.

Rae Luckie is a professional mentor and editor and is passionate about preserving life stories for future generations. She has a broad range of writing interests and experience and has facilitated community workshops throughout New South Wales.

As well as teaching qualifications, Rae has a PhD in auto/biographical writing and last year completed a Graduate Diploma in Local, Family and Applied History.

Topics covered in this course include:

  • kick start your creativity

  • overcome the terror of the blank page

  • writing from the senses/writing about place

  • mapping memories, organising stories—where do I begin?

  • the pleasures and perils of publishing
