The Tuross Head Country club monthly medal stroke competition is held at the beginning of each month and is played over three divisions.
This week winners and runner up's were:
A grade golfer Ian Manton won this grade with 71 net strokes ahead of Brad Doolan with 73 net.
B grade was won by Frank Pomfret with 71 net and Reginald Apps was placed second on a countback.
C grade was won by Herb Muriwai with a net 70 strokes ahead of Michael Elfar 72.
Brad Doolan had the lowest off the stick score of 73 strokes and Brad also won the putting competition and the Golden Shot best on the second hole with 6.96 m. A busy day for this low handicap golfer.
Nearest the pins were awarded to:
A grade golfer Dave Gray with 1.25 m on the 4th hole.
Ian Manton won the 6th with 64 centimetres and
John Phyland the 7th with 4.77 m.
B grade best was Ian Lawson with 2.80 m on the 4th hole and Reg Apps was closest on the 6th with 70 centimetres.
C grade golfer Mick Elfar was awarded the 4th hole with 3.80 m and he was also closest on the 6th with 3.57 m.
The coming Saturday round is the Scoty stableford competition.
Thursday's mixed medley was won by Greg Smith with 32 points relegating Ian Miller to second spot on a countback.
Michael Hogan and Ian Manton filled the remaining placings with 31 points.
