Moruya Probus nears AGM

THE last Moruya Probus committee meeting prior to the annual meeting was held at Moruya Golf Club on Tuesday. And most discussion related to the annual meeting that will be held on March 27. It will be held after the monthly meeting that will start at ten-o’clock, at the Golf Club. The annual luncheon will be held after that, aimed to start at about 12-noon, with the changeover of officers to take place between the main course and desert. The committee meeting, among other things, discussed outings. Tours officer Geoff Brag said the outing to Eden on March 6 had been a great success. A highlight, it seemed, was the sighting of several dolphins alongside the launch Cat Balou. Another day there could be on the cards, it seemed. There was also some talk about a possible trip to Joadja with one thing to be decided being whether it should be a one- or two-day trip, with an overnight stay at a Mittagong motel. Moruya Probus is always welcoming to visitors who might be interested in joining. Meetings are held at Moruya Golf Club on the fourth Tuesday of every month, starting at ten-o’clock. Apart from meeting people with like interests there are several advantages of membership, including discounts on travel, accommodation and travel insurance. Membership officer Di Montgomerie may be contacted for further details on 4473 6212.
