Tuross Vets played an event unique to the Club this morning when 58 starters teed off in what is known locally as a Special Par event. This game provides extra reward for a score under handicap where multiple plusses can be scored. Results on the day were as follows:
1st: Lance Shadbolt with an excellent score of +5.
2nd: Errol Soden on +3 on count back.
3rd: Peter McRae also on +3 and also on count back.
Ball or Chocolate:
Gerry Magill and Kevin Dukes on +3, Lyn Benger, Robert McKirdy, Greg Ware and Gayle Macalpine on +2, Des Jackson, Paul Pereira and Allen Gannon on +1, and finally Bruce Ware, Sandra Hanlon, Graham Pratt and John Cox who all had squares.
Bradman Award:
The Vets President, Ian Manton, suffering at the hands of the handicapper took out the Bradman award this week.
Nearest the Pins:
4th: Michael Kermode.
6th: Gerry Magill.
Ladies 7th: Gail Rogers.
Men’s 7th: Greg Smith.
Accuracy Award:
Terry Challender won the award with a shot closest to the centre string line.
