STAGE ONE COMPLETE!
The Eurobodalla now has funding for its ARTIFICIAL REEF SYSTEM.
Today, Monday the 26th of March 2018, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced that the Eurobodalla will be receiving an additional $500,000.00 to compliment the $650,000.00 designated for the artificial reef.
Our local MP Andrew Constance reinforced this commitment by acknowledging the benefits it will deliver for the local economy and recreational fishers.
Our Mayor, Liz Innes congratulated the larger community and was proud to see the grassroots movement that the entire community supported to make the artificial reef petition a success.
The EFA executive and committee lead the way advocating for an artificial reef for the Eurobodalla.
We would like to thank the entire community for supporting us in this great cause for recreational fishing. Thank you to Premier Berejiklian for supporting the south coast. Thank you Andrew Constance MP and staff, Mayor Liz Innes and ESC for your exceptional support.
Local businesses and fishing clubs played a crucial roll to promote the petition and we thank all of them. A special thank you must be made to Anthony James Stokman of Compleat Angler Batemans Bay and the the teams of Cameron's H Hardware Batemans Bay and Cameron's H Hardware Moruya who compelled many people of the public to sign the petition.
The fishing clubs of the Eurobodalla played a major roll by promoting the petition and we thank them greatly.
The EFA thanks, MP Niall Blair, RFNSW, Max Castle and associates from South Sydney and Canberra for their support of the Eurobodalla Artificial Reef submission.
Now that stage one is complete the next stage is LOCATION. The EFA eagerly puts its hand up to lead the way at the consultation table, discussing the location of the artificial reef.
