Once again the Rotary Club of Narooma is coordinating the Australian National Busking Championships in Narooma on Saturday May 26th. The event was extremely successful last year and provided free entertainment for the whole town. Indeed the town was “alive with the sound of music”. Narooma's Australian National Busking Championships organiser Sandra Doyle told The Beagle; "Already this year we have over $9000 worth of prizes for all our very worthy buskers and we have 30 busking sites for their performances. "Buskers have already started registering and the variety of performances so far is ensuring it will be a very entertaining and free fun day for all. There will also be our Free Bus moving the public to the various busker spots around town. Sandra and John Doyle recently travelled to Victoria to see firsthand the very sucessful Ballarat Australian National Busking Championships event and were able to pick up a few extra ideas to enrich Narooma’s event. While they were there they also extended invitations to many very interested buskers to Narooma to participate.
Sandra’s message is loud and clear "Buskers – start registering now so as not to miss out and Everyone Else – don’t forget the date for a day full of free entertainment for the whole family."
