Fund Raising Events for Robotics Students at Moruya High School - April 21st


Fund Raising Events for Robotics Students at Moruya High School. This years RoboCup Junior Australia Nationals are being held in Melbourne They will be competing in the three categories being OnStage, Soccer and Rescue



The Robotics Teams at MHS are having 2 fund raising events in our local community.

The first event is a BINGO afternoon at Tuross Head Country Club from 4pm to 6pm Saturday the 21st April.

Cost is $20 which includes 2 raffle tickets. There will be Chocolate lines and Prizes for Houses to the value of $10 to $20.

Local businesses have donated gifts or vouchers for the event. These include Bodalla Dairy Shed, Bodalla Lavender Shop, Blue Heron Café (Moruya), Perry Street Cinemas and Tuross Head Country Club. There will be a small display to show what the students can do with their robots.

The Second event a Mother’s Day Stall which is being held on the 12th May outside Bunnings at Batemans Bay from 8am. There will be a cake stall as well as small items inexpensive gifts for sale for your mum or your nan. Students will be doing a display at this event to show what they do with their robots and explain what things that have to do for the competitions that they will be involved in.

Students will be competing at 4 competitions this year.

These competitions are:

  1. South Coast Regional Competition in June being held at MHS.

  2. ACT Competition in August in Canberra.

  3. NSW Competition also in August in Sydney.

  4. National Competition being held in Melbourne in October.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand.
