Moruya RSL hall has a new roof

Work on replacing the asbestos roofing of Moruya Memorial Hall began early in 2018 and has now reached completion. A local contractor, Bay & Coast Metal Roofing P/ L , has completed the the job and the new roof looks terrific.

The sub-branch decided a couple of years ago that the roof of the Memorial Hall needed replacing; it had some leaks and was, above all, of corrugated asbestos.

Eurobodalla Shire Council did $10,000-worth of administration work in the project. Cash donations have been: Moruya Sub-branch $50,000; The NSW Government $60,000; Ron Millikin, of Ulladulla, $15,000; Narooma Sub-branch $1,000; Merimbula Sub-branch $750; Bombala Sub-branch $500 and the Veterans’ Affairs Department $55,930.
