Cullendulla Drive, Long Beach roadworks commence

Council has been successful in gaining grant funding from the Australian and State governments to carry out road safety improvements on the 800m length of Cullendulla Drive from the Princes Highway to Kettle Road intersections. Council expect completion by the end of August 2018, weather permitting. The first stage involves widening the culvert near the Princes Highway intersection and we will then progress to widen the culvert near Kettle Road. As this culvert work is mostly off-road, there will be minimal disruption to traffic flow. The second stage of the project involves widening the 800m length of Cullendulla Drive to allow for 2 x 3.5m wide traffic lanes with a 2m wide shoulder on each side. During this work one traffic lane will be closed and motorists should allow for extra travel times. We will make every effort to maintain access to your property. These road safety improvements would not be possible without the financial assistance from the Australian government's Bridges Renewal Program ($202,021) and the State government's Restart NSW Program ($668,204). Council has allocated $385,400 from the capital works program budget. Council request that you please drive safely when traveling through the 40km/h work zone and follow the directions of traffic controllers.
