Community organisations and schools can now apply for grants of up to $500 for projects that benefit Eurobodalla youth.
Eurobodalla Council is offering Youth Development Grants for initiatives that engage young people in areas that might include skill development, leadership and training opportunities, improving employment pathways, social participation and sporting and cultural opportunities.
Council’s Youth and Community Development Coordinator Zoe Morgan said the grants were designed to support the many organisations in the community with local knowledge and expertise in assisting local youth.
She encouraged businesses running a community service that benefits youth to apply.
“We have potential to support organisations that are volunteering their time and space as a business for initiatives that help local young people,” she said.
“We’re looking for any sort of project that supports our shire’s young people and gives them a head start in life.”
Applications for the grants opened Wednesday 18 April during Youth Week and close Wednesday 9 May.
