Councillor Pat McGinlay is now on his sixth excursion to meet and listen to residents of the Shire to hear their concerns and issues this coming Saturday morning for a coffee and a chat. News flash: Pat had hoped to go to Surfside and sought feedback of a possible coffee venue. Alas no-one told him of the the great little shop in The Vista ..HOWEVER ...... Pat will be meeting with some members of the Surfside community on Saturday at the Venetian Cafe and hopes to have a specific meeting with the Surfside community about Surfside issues in the near future. And he wants these ongoing small interactions to involve local small businesses. Instead, he has chosen a close option, so residents from north of the bridge, who apparently have some concerns, don't have too far to travel. The venue for tomorrow (Sat 28th April) is The Venetian in Orient Street. (The staff were very kind to his 89 yr old Ma when he last popped in with her so he was well impressed.) He'll be there from around 8.30 until 9.45 a.m. (And try to grab a table.) The idea is to have a convivial chat with anyone who wants to raise any issue in a relaxed setting. Please feel free to join in to a group discussion if that happens. If your issue is one you would rather be private, then you can always e-mail or phone him afterwards
