Weekend Sports roundup


League Narooma: A big result for the First Grade Bega Roosters with a 26-18 win over the Narooma Devils at Bill Smyth Oval on the weekend. The Narooma Devils ladies showed they had the defense, keeping Bega Hot Chicks to only 10 in a 10-0 scoreline. The Under 18’s however exceeded all expectations thumping Bega 30-6 While the Devil’s Reserves fought hard unfortunately they went down to a 30-14 score. Batemans Bay The Tigers girls and boys did well away at Bemboka with the ladies league tag winning 26 -12 over the Candelo Pink Panthers and reserve grade came away with a point in a 16 all draw over the Candelo Bemboka Panthers. The Bay Tigers First Grade and Under 18’s had a Bye Moruya The Moruya Sharks First Grade were too good on the day for the Cooma Stallions at Cooma Showground winning 34 -16 The Moruya Sharks Reserve Grade were given a solid thump losing to Cooma 52 - 6 at the Cooma showground

AFL Batemans Bay Seahawks / Waves reserves went down to Southern Cats however the Firsts took the lead in the last minutes with a Cody Cameron snap goal with 3 minutes to go securing a 4 point win for the First Grade boys against Eastlake

Rugby The Boars scored a good away win with a tough assignment Yass over the Rams that came down to the wire 33 – 34
