Hope House held an Open Day in Batemans Bay that also saw the launch of their fundraising campaign. Hope House opened in 2009 and provides accommodation, education, assistance and support for homeless men who have addictions, mental health issues, in contact with or at risk of being in contact with the Justice system, victims and/or perpetrators of domestic and family violence or being beaten by life in general. Shirley Diskon of Hope House invites the community to become more aware of the results they have been able to achieve for men in our community who are in need of a hand up. "Your support helps us to maintain these programs and provide services for local men." "We invite those who couldn't make it today to look at our website at www.communitylifebb.org.au " Andrew Constance, Member for Bega said "A great Saturday morning to be back at Hope House for their open day in Batemans Bay with Ann Sudmalis and Pete Diskon. Being able to confirm a $50,000 grant to this essential organisation and seeing all those involved in providing a service that is transforming lives, was a highlight."
Shirley Diskon and Member for Gilmore, Ann Sudmalis, have launched the GoFundMe web page to support the organisation and Ann kicked it off with the first donation.
