Greg Ware wins THCC stableford event


Tuross Head Country Club well known golfer Greg Ware led the field home in this weeks 2 Ball Best Ball stableford competition.

Greg handed in a card scoring a high 40 stableford points with Dave Bray filling second placing with 38 points.

Kevin Dukes, Bruce Brawn and Adam Husband filled the remaining award spots, all players finishing with 37 points.

Bruce Martin and Ken Brown won the 2 Ball Best Ball with 45 points.

Nearest the pins were won by A grade golfers:

Mark Haberkorn on the 4th hole with 3.82 m.

Ian Lawson was closest on the 6th with 0.86 m and

Adam Husband was best on the 7th with 1.80 m.

B grade player Bruce Martin won the 4th hole with 6.46 m.

Paul Scholze the 6th with 2.17 m and

Adam Wilson was awarded the 7th with 3.89 m.

Best of the C grader's was Paul Israel on the 4th with 4.06 and

M. Hogan won the 6th with 2.62 m.

THCC golfers are reminded the club championships start on Saturday May 12th with the final

two rounds being played on Saturday and Sunday May 19th and 20th.

Thursday's medley stableford competition was won Jim Wade with 39 points ahead of Rob Josifovski 37 points.

Tony Russell and Steve Johnston both finished with 35 points to secure the remaining awards.

Nearest the pins were Ian Miller with 1.55m on the 4th hole and he also won the 6th with 2.53 m.

Jayden Monopoli won the 7th hole with 2.50m.
