On Monday 30th April Graham Pyne from the Broulee Rural Fire Brigade dropped by the Tomakin Sports & Social Club to officially unveil new lighting equipment purchased recently with funding supplied by the club under the Club Grants Scheme.
The vital LED lighting rigs mounted on the brigade's two vehicles are already proving a great asset in lighting the scene surrounding their vehicles and helping to keep the volunteer fire fighters safe whilst undertaking their work at fires and accident and rescue scenes around the local area and beyond.
Mr Pyne showed directors and management of the Tomakin Sports & Social Club through the vehicles and explained what a fantastic difference the new equipment has made for his crews.
Club Operations Manager, Shane Cairney pointed out that this is just one more way that clubs contribute to their local communities and that the Tomakin Club is proud to support such a worthy and important local organisation as the Broulee Rural Fire Brigade. This donation is on top of another substantial donation coming from Eurobodalla Clubs including the Tomakin Sports & Social Club of $20,000 towards the Tathra Bush Fire appeal.
