Member for Gilmore Ann Sudmalis has welcomed the Federal Budget and said “The $155 million commitment for construction of the new Nowra Bridge is the largest infrastructure co-investment for the electorate in more than three decades.” “Since 2012 I have fought for this bridge. Our community got behind our campaign and we should be proud that we delivered this project that will cut traffic congestion, create jobs and improve safety. “The Government is providing opportunities in the region for extra university and apprenticeship places, and funding to help entrepreneurs. “58,000 taxpayers in Gilmore will be better off, each receiving a new offset of up to $530 a year, cutting costs in household budgets, moving towards a fairer rate for our hard working residents. “There is guaranteed funding for Medicare, hospitals, schools and the NDIS. “The Government is investing in cyber-security and border protection; and making sure we are responsible with taxpayer dollars and living within our means. “Small businesses benefit with another year for the $20,000 instant asset write-off, helping them invest in new equipment. “Looking after the Federal Government finances is the strength of the Liberal Party and the benefits are now paying off, more jobs and less tax. “Our plan for a stronger economy means that Australians can plan for their future with confidence. "Budget 2018 is phenomenal, and there is more to come for our region,” Mrs Sudmalis said. Learn more about Budget 2018 by visiting the website - www.budget.liberal.org.au Media Release
