Sharks win at home over Tenacious Tigers

In a miserable day the Bay Tigers played a game of two halves in First grade at Moruya. Batemans Bay bounced out and scored first however, from then on, Moruya took charge of the first half to lead 14 pts to 4 at half time.

The Tigers returned in the second with a fresh vigour after what must've been a momentous pep talk and played some solid footie to get back into the game. Young Mitchell Hockey stepped up from the under 18s to continue his try scoring duties, scored in flamboyant fashion equal to any of the NRL stars where he battled the sideline and opposition to score in the tiny corner.

The Tigers kept the game alive and made Moruya very nervous however they ran out of time to lose 30 to 28.

Mitch Hockey proved his worth by being awarded the players player award. Other players playing well were Michael Tadich in his new number 9 position and Baden Payne continues to perform solidly.

The reserves also went down in a dour game played in wet and windy conditions. The Tigers lost 26 to 14
