Introducing the Stars of Eurobodalla: Robyn Kennedy

Over coming weeks we will be introducing you to the fantastic Stars of Eurobodalla who raising donations and will be Dancing for Cancer at the Tomakin Sports and Social Club on 21 July 2018.

Meet our star duo Robyn Kennedy Robyn retired to Broulee 15 years ago with her husband, Michael. Together they have four children and seven grandchildren, who they love to spend time with. Michael and Robyn love to keep fit and be involved in the community – they play golf, go to the gym, and love to run and walk. Robyn and Michael’s biggest contribution to the community lies in their involvement with the Broulee Runners. They started the group 11 years ago and it has since grown into a great family and community event. Robyn is also involved with the Special Olympics. Like many others, Robyn’s life has been touched by cancer. Her father was taken when he was far too young, and she has known many friends who have suffered over the years. But, most recently, Robyn lost a dear friend to cancer late last year. For this reason, Robyn looks forward to taking part in ‘Dancing with the Starts’ as a positive way to help in the battle to fight cancer. Reminiscing on her dancing experience Robyn says she did some dancing many years ago – “nearly 60 years ago actually!” Robyn has always loved to dance and is keen to take on this challenge in her senior years with great enthusiasm and courage.
