A big week for Batemans Bay with 322 visiting children here for 2018 NSWPSSA Primary Australian Football Championship Together with accompanying parents, caregivers, teachers, officials, referees and supporters the event brings 800 visitors in total from 13 regions across the state to the Batemans Bay area with some having travelled 13 hours to get here. Organised by NSW Primary Schools Sports Association the event is being run from Tuesday, 22 May 2018 to Thursday, 24 May 2018 Being held at Hanging Rock Oval the feedback on the venue, the area and the activities outside of football have been terrific and the influx of so many new faces to the area having a good time will hopefully see them all return for family holidays. Congratulations to Eurobodalla Council who worked with the PSSA representative to secure the event for the region. The Eurobodalla region was initially overlooked as we only had 1 AFL field at Hanging Rock. Council sought the PSSA requirements and worked with the Parks team to modify the Rugby field to meet their needs. The PSSAare overwhelmed by the support they have received from council, the local Seahawks Club , Lions Club and local businesses who supported the carnival.
