Regular Vets pairing take out 2 Person Irish Team Stableford Event
On yet another glorious autumn morning a good field of 59 players registered for this morning's 2 Person Irish Team Stableford event. Results for the day were as follows:
1st: The pairing of Peg Nevett and Derek Hoare with an aggregate score of 34 stableford points.
2nd: Gerry Magill and Terry Challender on 33 points.
3rd: Greg Thornton and Richard Kelly with 32.
Ball or Chocolate:
Len and Gail Rogers, Ann and Bruce Ware, together with Allen Lee and David Williams with all teams scoring a steady 30 points. They were followed by Lyn and Denis Benger, Ian and Jeanette Miller, and finally Rick Brake and Warren Hodder all on 27 points, and on count backs.
Bradman Award:
Long time Vets golfers Errol Soden and Barry Hoban were this week's winners of the infamous award.
Nearest the Pins:
4th: Ken Brown.
6th: Michael Godford.
Ladies 7th: Teri Swanbury.
Men's 7th: Ron Lunt.
Accuracy:
Vets President Ian Manton took out the award with a fine, long drive straight down the fairway.
