Introducing the Stars of Eurobodalla: Gary Megay

Over coming weeks we will be introducing you to the fantastic Stars of Eurobodalla who raising donations and will be Dancing for Cancer at the Tomakin Sports and Social Club on 21 July 2018.

Meet our amazing pair Gary Megay and professional dancer Beth Marbrow! Gary enjoys cycling around the Batemans Bay area and spending time with his son, daughter, 4 grandchildren and wife, Sandra. He is actively involved as a volunteer with the Batemans Bay Football (Soccer) Club, the Eurobodalla Football Association and the Eurobodalla Soccer Referees’ Association. He also regularly volunteers as the driver of a bus to take residents of The Glenn on outings around the Batemans Bay area. Gary’s father passed away after a lengthy battle with prostate cancer and his first wife died after a short but brutal fight with cancer. Since their passing Gary has seen how advances in cancer research have led to very different outcomes for other people he has become acquainted with who have had similar diagnoses. In his efforts to raise funds for cancer research Gary needs your help, “It’d be wonderful if you can help make cancer a word, not a sentence.” He will be dancing with lyrical and contemporary dancer Beth Marbrow from Stepz Dance Academy. Beth has been dancing for 16 years and she’s very excited to be involved with the Stars of the Eurobodalla and can’t wait to meet everyone and start teaching her partner the routine.
