Eurobodalla councillors last week voted to extend the time available for residents to comment on the Rural Lands Strategy planning proposal.
The decision followed presentations by members of the public to last Tuesday’s Council meeting.
The proposal documents have been available on Council’s website and in libraries since 26 April 2018 and the public exhibition opened on 9 May. Rural land owners have received a letter inviting their feedback.
Residents now have until Friday 22 June to consider the proposed amendments and make their views known to Council.
The proposed amendments to the Eurobodalla Local Environment Plan 2012 are consistent with the recommendations in Council’s Rural Lands Strategy that was adopted following significant community engagement over a four-year period.
Following exhibition, Council will consider all submissions before endorsing a final planning proposal. The NSW Government will then be requested to make the changes to Eurobodalla’s LEP 2012 as expediently as possible. Media Release
