SHASA and Moruya Bicycles Partner To Provide An Electric Bike Bulk Buy

The Southcoast Health and Sustainability Alliance (SHASA) has partnered with Moruya Bicycles to offer a great deal on Shogun E-Bikes. If a minimum of 5 people sign up for one of these electric bikes SHASA can secure a price of only $1,279, a significant discount on the retail price of $1,599.

Kathryn Maxwell, Chair of SHASA said that “electric bikes are a great way to get around, make going up hills easy, help to avoid a sweaty ride and are great for shopping. They are very cheap to run and can eliminate the need for a second car for those living in or close to town centres. Ms Maxwell has enjoyed riding electric bikes for over 10 years and finds she often uses her e-bike for excursions that would otherwise require a car. With fuel prices on the rise there has never been a better time to buy an electric bike.”

Angus Murphy from Moruya Bicycles outlined that "the Shogun bike is offered in three frame options, 18 inch mens, 18 inch step through and 16 inch step through. All models feature a 36V 250W rear hub drive motor with 3 levels of assistance and a 10.4Ah lithium battery giving a riding range of 2-3 hours on a single charge. The Shimano 7 speed gear system and pedal assist sensors deliver a smooth riding experience making hills disappear. All electrical components are covered by a 2 year warranty.”

In the last year Moruya Bicycles have sold 30 electric bikes, a mix of electric road and electric mountain bikes.

Angus Murphy also said “Moruya Bicycles commitment to towards sustainability includes a 5kW solar system, and a comprehensive recycling program - we segregate cardboard, soft plastic, hard plastic, metal and glass all for recycling. We also reuse as much packaging as possible, new bikes come well packaged and we reuse much of this packaging dispatching online orders to all parts of Australia.”

If you would like to check out these electric bikes please visit Moruya Bicycles at 10 Ford Street Moruya.
