Among the finalists for the 2018 Eurobodalla Local Hero was Sue Barford. Sue was not able to attend the presentation at the Botanic Gardens as she was in Melbourne at the time of the Award Ceremony, with her daughter after the birth of her first child - Sue's first grandchild. Sue had been the Chair of the River of Art for 6 years when she stepped down last year. She had put enormous effort into developing a small Arts Festival into the River of Art Festival of today, which now covers the whole of the Eurobodalla Shire region with over 100 events during the Festival in May each year.
