Anthony Mayne says "It's Time to be Heard" on the Rural Lands Strategy Proposal submis

Anthony Mayne of Community Voice Eurobodalla has reminded those who follow the group on social media that it is "Your Shire - Your Future!" and that the Rural Lands Strategy Proposal submissions close this Friday 22nd June. While not permitted to make any comment as a councillor as all comments need to be vetted by the General Manager and passed on via the Council "spokesperson" Anthony Mayne, as a member of the community is able to say "This is a Game Changer!!" Anthony asks "Rural = Broulee, Bingi, Congo, Guerrilla Bay, Tuross, Mossy Point etc etc...….so much for Rural!! What Vision do you want ?" "What is the Vision for this Shire & what will it be rebranded?" From Nature Coast to...…………? Mr Mayne, like many now becoming aware of the proposal after it had been passed to NSW Planning for their approval is justifiably asking "The Rural Fire Service (RFS) & Ofiice of Environment and Heritage have identified numerous concerns - who is listening?"

Not Eurobodalla Council apparently, where it is already reported that those rural properties that stand to have dwelling approvals given are already being advised to lodge DA's in readiness of the Proposal being adopted. Those attending last week's Public Access session would have seen three presenters bringing their concerns to the councillors only to find that they were treated with little more than distain and one speaker saying he felt like he was a dirty nappy in the room the way he was spoken to. Anthony Mayne says on the Community Voice Eurobodalla Facebook page asks "So more urban sprawl changing the character of our Nature Coast?" "It's Time to be Heard" !!!

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
