In an email received:
"In the past couple of weeks my wife , daughter and a friend have had their bank cards compromised and when we spoke to the Moruya branch concerned we were told that there were other customers effected...
"The bank said that their effected customers came from an area between Narooma and Batemans Bay.. Today my wife drove to town do some shopping and used her card from a second banking company and the purchase was declined and after contacting bank concerned, we were told a withdrawal of over a $1,000 had been attempted to be transferred to the USA and suggested that we acquire statement from our ocal branch to check for any strange withdrawals..
"All the cards concerned were kept in a protective sheath and until these people caught or move out of our area we should all be vigilant..
If you have any concerns at all contact your bank immediately."
