Members of the Euro Fishing Association (EFA) have recently met with Heath Folpp and Nick Sarapuk from NSW DPI Fisheries to discuss the initial process involved with the artificial reef.
Adam martin of EFA says "It's a substantial process believe me! So please for those who continue to say to us its not going to happen, just be patient."
"To give you some perspective there is over a half dozen projects at different stages in motion and the Eurobodalla is officially down the bottom of list some what, but who knows what the future will hold.
However there is a huge process to getting an artificial reef to deployment stage."
"To give you an idea there is a stack of different studies to be done including environmental impacts and baseline data."
"Then there are three different consultation processes that are contracted, these are the Swath mapping, Coastal Processes and Aboriginal Heritage." "Then there is a myriad of public stakeholder consultations along with Commonwealth licenses and crownland permits processes finishing up with a tender process to construct and deploy the reefs.
"So as you can see we are moving in a forward direction but due process must take place.
"We will continue to keep you updated as progress develops.
