Pedestrian hit by car – Batemans Bay Bridge


A man remains in hospital after being hit by a car in Batemans Bay last night.

About 6.30pm (Friday 22 June 2018), emergency services were called to the Clyde River Bridge after reports a male pedestrian had been struck by a Holden Commodore station wagon.

The 47-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before being taken to St George Hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

The 21-year-old female driver was uninjured and taken to Batemans Bay Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from the South Coast Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
