Batemans Bay parkrun # 113 - 30/06/2018

What a beautiful morning for today's run! I thoroughly enjoyed volunteering to take some action snaps of these wonderful people. Sometimes at parkrun you come across someone that really makes your day and gets inside you somehow! Today it was this little fellow! Today was his 27th Parkrun! And he is 5 years old. He was so pleased he was with us and his joy at crossing the line was infectious! He ran with his whole family which made it more special. Thanks for visiting us all the way from Tasmania! Come back soon.

Congratulations to Lauren Evans, Peter Counsell, Barry King, Fiona Todd, Bob Mathieson and Debbie Jones for achieving personal best times today in our local parkrun.

What a beautiful morning it was to be out and about! Today we welcomed visitors from Brisbane , Tasmania, Victoria , Wollongong , Canberra and North Sydney! We very much enjoyed having them all and warmly welcome anyone to join us every Saturday morning for a run or walk! Thanks so much to todays volunteers: Harrison , Vaughn and Brock Gilligan , Lisa Robbins, Jill Brown, Morgan Corby, Betty Jeffrey and Tracy Denning. A lovely time had by all!

Parkrun promotes community, health and well being at your own pace whether you're wanting to beat a personal best or walk and admire the beautiful scenery. So, see you there next Saturday?

New runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome to join this friendly and free weekly event. We meet every Saturday morning at 7.50 am for the 8.00 am start. The venue is Rotary Park near the Marina roundabout on Beach Road in Batemans Bay. You can find out more about us and see lots of photographs on our Batemans Bay parkrun Facebook page. If you fancy parkrun, you need to register online at www.parkrun.com.au. You will be allocated a personal barcode which needs to be printed and brought to parkrun so that you get a recorded result as well as parkrun fun.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
